How to apply
Chairs are highly integral to the MEU experience and of utmost importance to the simulation. While remaining neutral on the content of the proposals being discussed, Chairs moderate the debates and thus set the tone. Chairing can be a very challenging experience, but it can also be very rewarding.
Do you think you have the right mix of responsibility, experience and authority? Do you work well under pressure and tight time constraints? Can you work well within a diverse team, cooperating closely with a co-Chair, Secretary and members of the MEU organising team? If so, then we look forward to receiving your application!
Eight successful applicants will join us at the MEU Autumn School Berlin, which will take place during the weekend of 26.-28.10.2012 in Berlin. The Autumn School will consist of training sessions and rehearsals. The training is intended to help familiarize the candidates with the rules of procedure, the topics for debate, and the other unique features and characteristics of MEU, as well as engaging in team-building.
Of the eight candidates to attend the MEU Autumn School Berlin, four will be selected by the organising team to serve as Chairs at MEU 2013 in Strasbourg and four will be selected for regional and local MEU simulations.
