In order to ensure the best possible experience, you are strongly advised to comply with the following Rules of Conduct:
General Rules:
1. Please remember to respect the timetable at all times. Being late might result into you not being able to enter the EP building/have lunch/dinner/breakfast. Remember that you are required to attend all the session in order to obtain the Certificate of Participation.
2. Do not engage in any such activity that may result in harming yourself/others or damaging property.
3. Please remember to wear your name/position tag at all times. In case you have lost your name tag, contact the Head of Delegate Coordination immediately. Without a name tag you shall not be able to enter the EP building.
4. As you are all adults, we expect you to behave as such and treat your fellow delegates as well as the organising team with the respect you would like to be treated with. If you have been the victim of an assault, please see a member of the organising team immediately.
5. Please remember to respect and follow the instructions of the organising team at all times.
6. In case of an emergency, please inform the organising team immediately.
7. If you are unsure where to go/what to do, ask a member of the organising team.
On the arrival day:
1. Please bear with the organising team when checking-in. Given the number of participants that need to be checked in, queues are not unlikely. The organising team shall treat you politely at all times and expects due treatment in return.
Inside the Parliament Building:
1. Please do not be late in the morning and make sure you come to the assembly point on time. We need to take a tram to get to the EP building. Being late might result into you not being able to enter the EP building.
2. Remember to dress appropriately inside the EP building.
3. Please remember not to enter the EP building until you are instructed to do so by one of the organisers.
4. Due to EP's regulations, everybody must undergo a security check when entering the EP building. Please be polite to the security staff.
5. Please remember to stay in the areas reserved for MEU 2011 (these shall be clearly marked).
6. Remember not to wander around the EP building unless instructed to do so.
7. Please remember not to bring food or water (even bottled water) to the Parliament or Chambers of the Council. Refreshments shall be provided during coffee breaks.
8. Please keep quiet in the EP building.
9. Remember not to smoke inside the EP building.
10. Please remember not to litter the EP building and do not engage in hazardous activities that could potentially result in harming yourself/others, or damaging the property of the EP. If you damage the property of the EP (be it intentionally or unintentionally), please inform the organising team immediately.
10. Remember not to leave the EP building unless instructed to do so. One of the organisers shall take you to the exit.
In the canteen:
1. Please behave appropriately in the queue.
2. Do not move any furniture (except for chairs) unless you are instructed to do so by the organising team.
Social Programme:
1. For safety reasons please remember not to wander alone at nights.
2. Please respect the others who might be sleeping upon your return to the Hotel. Please keep quiet.
At the Hotel:
1. Please remember to respect the others who might be sleeping and refrain from loud activities (playing loud music, loud talk). Moreover, please be discreet in corridors as some may be bothered by the noise.
2. Remember not to engage in any activity that might result into harming yourself/others, respectively damaging the Hotel's property. If you damage the Hotel's property, please inform the organising team immediately.
